A Rocket Red Glare was Jerald Harris

On the annual visit to Langley Speedway for the July 4th weekend the rocket turned out to be on track with Jerald Harris streaking to sweep the night.

Heats kicked off the night with Jerald Harris and Matt Mullins taking wins before it was off to the feature.

Jerald Harris and Matthew Leach paced the field to green with Harris out first bringing Billy Hubbard along as Leach and Chris Humblet were fighting for third. Humblet made it to third. Harris was running hard but trying to save tires as the key to keeping fast on pavement is to keep tire wear to a minimum. A restart at halfway after accident clean up meant they would all get a crack at Harris but he proved to up for it staying strong out front. The laps clicked off until Billy Hubbard had to retire after breaking a wheel slowing the field, but it gave Chris Humblet one last chance as he was second now . Harris shot off on the restart with Humblet close behind but nothing would stop Jerald Harris from flashing under the checkered flag first.

At the line it was Jerald Harris, Chris Humblet, Matthew Leach, Matt Mullins, Chase Burrow, Caleb Harris, Erin Statler, Daren Bolac, Chris Ware, Billy Hubbard, Aaron Leach, John Smith, Tony Harris and Jimmy Humblet.
